“Reverence the Lord Christ in your hearts, and always have your answer ready for people who ask you the reason for the hope that you all have. But give it with courtesy and respect. . .” (1 Pet 3:15-16)

Dia daoibh go léir!/ Dear All,

We are excited to announce a new initiative to help Catechism Study Group Members engage with a wide range of Catechetical materials from home. This new initiative includes access to a wealth of workshop and video resources to assist you in understanding the Truths of the Catholic Faith and the craft of catechesis. An optional four-part multiple choice test based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sponsored and certified by The Catechetical Institute is also included.

If you are a member of an CCC Adult Studies study group and wish to avail of these facilities, you will need to sign-up online.
By doing so, you consent to your data being used by The Catechetical Institute and by CCC Adult Studies for the educational and communication purposes conducted under both institutions.

Catechism of the Catholic Church – Adult Studies is a growing apostolate dedicated to the promotion of adult learning in the Truths of the Catholic Faith. Our mission is inspired by the words of St John Paul II: “Guarding the deposit of faith is the mission which the Lord has entrusted to his Church and which she fulfils in every age” (Fidei Depositum).

We have experienced the grace-filled results of studying the Catechism. It brings faith to life in the hearts of God’s people. We use the model of adult group learning, so hence the name, Catechism of the Catholic Church Adult Studies. Each group member undertakes daily reading from the Catechism according to our carefully devised, systematic Reading Plan. Once a week, the group, along with their Priest Spiritual Director and Facilitator, gather together to discuss the reading. Each member is encouraged to be an active participant by sharing points of learning and participating in group discussion.

The growth in faith and knowledge of each individual is evident as study progresses over the weeks, months and years of the study with the ongoing support of the Priest Spiritual Director and the group Facilitator. The group grows in faith and understanding over three years of study. Participants support each other in prayer, and contribute in charity and mutual respect to one another’s learning. It truly is learning and living the Catholic faith.

For all questions or queries regarding workshops and related resources available on this platform, please contact The Catechetical Institute via email at ci@franciscan.edu

United in Prayer,
Sincerely,
CCC Adult Studies Steering Committee (based in Ireland)
