Máirín lives in dioceses of Cork and Ross. She has a background in teaching Religion and Home Economics at Secondary School level. With Fr. Con White RIP as spiritual director, she facilitated two groups in the study of the Catechism of the Catholic Church with parishioners from her local parish of Carraig na bhFear over a six year period (1998-2004). Since then she has been involved in studies of the Catechism in dioceses throughout Ireland. She obtained a B. Div. From Maryvale Institute in 2006.
